While opening Quantum webcam my XP System Restarts and goes to BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)? - quantum web camera

I looked online, but the only suggestion I can see: Updating the BIOS
Is there a solution for it.

Quantum is a 5 megapixel web-camera (QHM LS 500)
